I have a passion for building high quality, resilient software that scales, and as such has rebuilt platforms and APIs from the ground up at all of these companies. I launched the first BlackBerry 10 device on QNX, and then adapted what was built to QNX Car for millions of drivers to enjoy. She was among the first to create GraphQL APIs for Shopify’s product and partners and enhanced Lever’s platform to increase the number of integrations by over 500% to almost 300.
Building diverse teams, and particularly gender-balanced ones, is a passion of mine. At Wealthsimple, I increased the representation of people that identify as women and non-binary in engineering by 10 percentage points to 30%.
I provide 1:1 coaching and mentorship directly, as well as via platforms and communities such as Plato and SheTO. My articles have been published in Hackernoon, Level Up Coding and Better Programming. I've spoken at many events, and most recently taught a course on retention with LeadDev.
